#OpenBSD 8.0 will be HUGE. I mean not in size but the amount of new features added since 7.9 to - current is incredible.

@rqm other than tremendous VMM improvements, the main thing I have noticed, unusually, is that /dev/zero is about twice as fast. I see this in virtualized space and on baremetal.

Ha! I don't try to make everything as slow as possible...

I actually did a benchmark yesterday confirming that raw disk images are considerably faster than qcow2, even for re-writes on a SSD. At least with the host's partition mounted sync, anyway.
