Did anyone try account migration from '*' ---> #littlefedi ?

@as400@bsd.cafe yep; from Mastodon. It worked well albeit it took some time for the process to start. Keep an eye on it under "Admin".

Thanks for your reply.
I haven't decided yet as migration would mean leaving bsd.cafe...

On the other hand I'm selfhosting almost everything I use so, hmmm.
#littlefedi is so tempting.

@as400@bsd.cafe Migration IIRC only tranfers data; unless you set up a "Redirect" on Mastodon to your new Littlefedi account, your acc remains active. I've also kept @rqm@exquisite.social.

You might be right because I remember something like that when I was migrating to bsd.cafe.

When migrating - did all the people you follow migrated successfully ? Asking because I remember you asking people to follow you again on your new instance.

@as400 @rqm@0xde501a7a.net @rqm@exquisite.social You can just export the people you follow from the BSD Cafe and import them into your instance. People will choose if they want to follow you on the new instance, too, so you can both stay at BSD Cafe and use your own instance. I'm also using mainly two instances - this one is more "public" the other one more "private" even if...it's not private at all, but you know what I mean.

Sounds great.
Although I must admit I hate having multiple accounts on the same service.

If you know what I mean :)
