@paul@paulwilde.uk @bpl@snac.bsd.cafe On the other hand, judging from the quality of the installation in our kitchen, I don't think I would be more worried if I did it...
@stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe @bpl@snac.bsd.cafe It definitely is that. Each platform built increased overall RAM use with ~1Gb after a while; especially the "exotic" platforms.
Interesting, littlefedi takes a bit more RAM to compile than I expected -- make build allreleases peaked at 19.7 GB of RAM use on the build machine. Something to bear in mind. #littlefedi

plan9 mk != gmake, tho... so let's see if I can cross-compile on OpenBSD with 'gmake build allreleases'
@rqm @littlefedi_official@littleone.littlefedi.social
cpu% GOROOT_BOOTSTRAP=/sys/lib/go/go-plan9-amd64-bootstrap
cpu% GOROOT=/sys/lib/go/amd64-1.27.1/

Building Go cmd/dist using /sys/lib/go/go-plan9-amd64-bootstrap. (go1.26.4 plan9/amd64)
Building Go toolchain1 using /sys/lib/go/go-plan9-amd64-bootstrap.
Building Go bootstrap cmd/go (go_bootstrap) using Go toolchain1.
Building Go toolchain2 using go_bootstrap and Go toolchain1.
Building Go toolchain3 using go_bootstrap and Go toolchain2.
Let's see if my patches to for @littlefedi_official@littleone.littlefedi.social on #Plan9 will work...
@oxy@bsdlab.au @mwl@io.mwl.io According to the Vulgate Bible ¹ the People of Ethiopia are given the special privilege of eating dragon meat, so who is to say you can't have a nice basilisk steak every now and then?
@h3artbl33d@exquisite.social
And the same to you!
kern.version=OpenBSD 8.0 (GENERIC.MP) #79: Sat Oct 3 00:27:20 MDT 2026

@as400@bsd.cafe Migration IIRC only tranfers data; unless you set up a "Redirect" on Mastodon to your new Littlefedi account, your acc remains active. I've also kept @rqm@exquisite.social.
@as400@bsd.cafe yep; from Mastodon. It worked well albeit it took some time for the process to start. Keep an eye on it under "Admin".
